Modellbahn Ottakring starts the new season Around 2,000 metres of track, 160 train sets and railways from several eras Wien-Ottakring, September 2026 – After the summer break, it's once again "all clear ahead" at Modellbahn Ottakring! On Sunday, 4 October 2026, the model railway club starts its new season. From 14:00 to 18:00, all railway and model railway enthusiasts, families and interested visitors are warmly invited to experience the extensive layout in operation. Modellbahn Ottakring offers a diverse railway world in 1:87 scale (H0) on an impressive approximately 2,000 metres of track. The layout extends over two rooms and features a double-track main line as well as a single-track branch line. Numerous fiddle yards allow varied operation with around 160 different train sets that can be sent out on their journeys in turn. From the Mariazeller Bahn to the S-Bahn Fans of narrow gauge railways will also get their money's worth. In the smaller layout room, the Mariazeller Bahn does its rounds on an H0e narrow gauge line. In the large layout room, an urban area forms another highlight. Trams and S-Bahn trains run here. Particularly interesting is the S-Bahn line with an elevated and an underground station, which provides additional varied operation.
